Dr. Stephen O’ Connor is a GDC registered Specialist and Consultant Orthodontist based in London, United Kingdom, with extensive clinical experience in complex orthodontic care.

Commencing in 2005, Dr. O'Connor undertook undergraduate dental training at University College Cork in the Republic of Ireland graduating with honours in 2010.

Between the years of 2010 - 2013 Dr. O'Connor spent several years working both in general practice and as a junior doctor in oral and maxillofacial surgery in major trauma centres in Glasgow in the United Kingdom with clinical focuses encompassing head and neck oncology, facial trauma an reconstruction and orthodontics and elective orthognathic surgery.

Commencing in 2013 Dr. O’ Connor undertook a a three-year full-time specialty postgraduate training in Orthodontics in Newcastle and Carlisle in the North of England. Dr. O'Connor holds a Master degree (MSc) in Orthodontics from Newcastle University and was awarded Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in June 2016, allowing his entry onto the General Dental Council specialist register as an Orthodontist.

Commencing in 2018, Dr. O'Connor undertook a further two years of full-time higher-level training in complex and advanced orthodontics in Birmingham Dental Hospital, one of only four super-specialist care cleft and craniofacial tertiary care centres in the United Kingdom, leading to the award of Fellowship in Orthodontics (FDS Orth) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in March 2018 and registration as a Consultant in Orthodontics, the highest grade of clinician in the United Kingdom. At the time of his registration in 2018 Dr. O’ Connor was the youngest Consultant Orthodontist in the United Kingdom.

Since 2018, Dr. O’ Connor divides his time between leading complex, multidisciplinary cases as a Consultant Orthodontist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and his central London private practice and is an international speaker on advanced orthodontic techniques.

Dr. O’ Connor delivers bespoke orthodontic solutions for both paediatric and adult patients, combining advanced clinical techniques with an expert, evidence based and patient-centric approach.
